With safety as our top priority, we are considering moving the event to the Wallagaraugh River Caravan Park. Chris emphasises the importance of ensuring the safety of the 101+ anglers registered for the event and promises to provide a final decision by Thursday.
The 2024 Hobie Fishing Worlds, held from June 25 to July 1 at Tecumseh, Windsor, Ontario, saw a fierce battle among the world’s top kayak anglers. Jack Gammie from Australia emerged victorious, clinching 1st place with a total of 274.25 inches of fish. Antoine Desrocher-Gagnon from Canada secured 2nd place with 262.00 inches and won the Day Two Biggest Bass Award. Ron Champion from the USA finished 3rd with 261.00 inches. The event featured varying weather conditions and the unique ‘Catch, Photo, Release’ format, with over 1,000 bass caught and submitted for scoring.
