The Fly Program was founded through the fires of loss, pain, and passion.

In the winter of 2013 our family received news that our beautiful brother; son, and uncle had taken his life.

The heartbreak and pain of losing a loved one is always difficult. Losing a loved one in these circumstances is profoundly impossible to comprehend. The weeks and months passed as we slowly learnt to deal with the raw nature of the pain, but the questions would never end.

Although we couldn’t always find the answers, we recognised there was an enormous opportunity to make a difference for others. What eventuated is The Fly Program.

It’s core is built around four key components Explore, Cast, Discover, and Recover. By facilitating unique programs and awareness campaigns that focus on education and peer support.

The Fly Program is a registered charity with a purpose to empower and support Australian men through life’s challenges, in the natural world, which takes an adventure therapy approach to offer men impacted by mental health adversity opportunities to:

• Strengthen mental wellbeing
• Access tools and resources
• Connect with nature
• Create community
• Have fun

As a grateful partner with Hobie Asia Pacific, we are excited to be the chosen charity at the Forster stage of the Hobie Fishing Series 2021. But we need your help!

The ‘Men In Flight’ program costs the charity $1,285.00 to sponsor x1 person through the 8-week program.
