2-Day, cumulative weight tournament. All eligible fish mush be weighed alive and released in healthy condition.
Pre-Fish Ban in effect from Monday September 28th up to and including Thursday the 22nd of October within the tournament arena.
It is mandatory to attend all briefings listed below. Anglers who are unable to attend the boat allocation, navigation & pre-fish day will have to forfeit their entry into the Australian Championship.
8:30am Friday, 23rd of October. The Foreshore of the Rafferty’s Resort Grounds. Bring your Australian Type 1 PFD and NSW Fishing License for inspection by the event staff.
9:00am Friday, 23rd of October. Anglers will be provided with Lowrance Insight Genesis memory card and instructions on how to map the area using their sounder. The angler who maps the largest area over the course of the competition will win a Lowrance HDS7 Gen3 Sounder.
9:30am – 1:00pm Friday, 23rd of October. Anglers are allowed on the water in the event kayaks between 9:30am – 1:00pm. Any angler on the tournament waterway on Friday outside these times are subject to penalties imposed by the Tournament Director. Anglers who fail to return by 1pm will have time added to their start time.
The boat allocation, navigation & pre-fish day is so the anglers can familiarise themselves with the kayak on the water and address any issues or questions prior to the event.

Saturday session times will be announced during the official briefing at 5:30pm on Friday the 23rd of October. Sunday session times will be announced at Saturday morning’s briefing.
All competitors need to be ABT members to fish the Australian Championship.

The 2015 Hobie Kayak Bream Fishing Series Australian Champion will be granted a slot in Australian Fishing Championships (AFC) representing Team Hobie as well as sponsors prize packs and cash prizes.
Accommodation has been set aside by the organisers and is ready to be taken over by the attending anglers.
15 x 2 Bedroom Deluxe Cottages with loft and 7 x 2 Bedroom Deluxe Terraces with a Loft have been set aside for competitors and their families.

– 2 Bedroom Deluxe Terrace, with fully equipped kitchen (sleeps 1 – 4 people) – $249.00 per night
– 2 Bedroom Cottage with a Loft with fully equipped kitchen (sleeps 1 – 6 people) – $269.00 per night
